Slow Cooker Sausage Stew

As the colder season approaches a warm dish is always a winner! Keeping it simple makes it easier for my little ones to enjoy too, so here is a simple slow cooker recipe to warm up your bellies.

Cooking time

2.5 hours (high)

Ingredients

  • Potatoes 2x large
  • Carrots 2x medium
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp chicken stock
  • Sausages 8x
  • Gravy 4x tbls
  • Mushrooms 8x

Method

Step 1. Chop up all your vegetables into small pieces and boil for 5 minutes. (Exclude mushroom, keep this aside for later)

Step 2. Make up roughly 1 litre of gravy, add your onion powder, salt, pepper, chicken stock and your gravy to your slow cooker pot.

Step 3. Add your sausages to the slow cooker pot and let it cook for 1 hour, on high. Then add your vegetables and cook for another hour and a half.

Step 4. Add your mushrooms in the last half hour.

Serve with rice and enjoy!
